I FLEW MY AIRPLANE TO 17000 FEET!

Jul 16, 2019

Jonas Marcinko

I took a trip to New Mexico and filmed along the way and on the way
back I was able to reach 17000 Feet in my Capella aircraft. I was on
supplemental oxygen during my time over 12500 ft. My Capella has a
Rotax 912 engine. it is a tailwheel airplane.

At 9:09 minutes into the video have a look at his altimeter. I don't
see any evidence of O2 equipment.

At this point in his video [9:51]: http://youtu.be/ObygtveJrhc
he would appear to be in violation of:

17000 feet is virtually a medium mountain peak for unoxegenated
climbers.
A pilot is regulated to use O2 above a certain altitude but the US regs
may exclude microlights
